It all started with a summer internship in 2015 and it eventually became my first step in the footwear industry. After graduating from FIT in New York, I came back to Montreal and joined the ALDO Group in their private label department as a technical designer.

As a technical designer, I travelled seasonly to China to oversee production, conduct fittings and meet with suppliers. I supported the technical design manager in establishing fit standards for Aldo’s private clients and ensured to provide footwear training to new hires.

Understanding the technical complexities of fit, pattern corrections and production provided me with a well rounded knowledge of footwear design.
